- Tedd learns about resisting magic as a baby from Pandora

- "Nanase MIGHT have Grace's heightened spatial awareness going on?"

- The Before and After (actually ordered after and before on the page)

- "You transform by touching the mirror?! (Susan, who looked like a form of Justin at the time, was appalled)

- Tedd learns of her mother's scars

- Tedd bringing up the same point about magic being used every day

We have word of The Will of Magic that there are factors "preventing the birth of a seer from being something one can plan", so it's unlikely that the daily magic usage of Tedd's mother had anything to do with that. There's not going to be some trick one can employ to make sure of it.

Past Panels

I sometimes feel awkward about using panels from the past. Using them is often quite sensible, but there's this feeling of "laziness" about it.

What makes that all the more nonsensical is how much thought winds up going into making use of them. It took me quite a bit to figure out just what the heck I was doing with panel one, and how to arrange everything. I imagine it was still faster than redrawing everything, but nonetheless, there was effort involved.

That, and I'm trying to help jog people's memories. New images don't necessarily do that. They might make things more confusing.

AND ON TOP OF THAT... I like "touch glass, get morphed."

Why Two People

In the previous page, Edward noted Tedd getting Elliot and Grace to carry the door around. This made people wonder "why two people?" I wound up having a rather long response to this elsewhere, and I consider it worth including here:

A lot of things CAN be moved around by one person, or moved with telekinesis.

That doesn't mean either option is better than just having two people do it.

In the case of the magic door, it's an old door—heavier wood—with a mirror on it, and intentionally flimsy—very breakable—chopsticks worked into the four corners.

With one person, it's awkward to move it around, and vision is likely to be obstructed. It's not just a matter of strength. It's absolutely doable, but one mistake would be all it would take to break the mirror and/or one or more chopsticks.

With telekinesis, it's a bit wobbly if making something float. Grace could probably do it, but there'd be a chance of failure. She can make herself fly and float pretty precisely—and more easily in general—but if moving something like the door around, it would be awkward and slow. She'd be better off just using her hands.

Meanwhile, plenty of strong people are over frequently enough that it's no big deal to have two of them carry it out.

Anyway, it was never a question of "is this possible without two people". The question was "is this wise without two people".
