My personal preference would be just "AND THEN THE REST OF MONDAY HAPPENED" immediately followed by "THERE'S A RUSH".

Given new page pacing combined with jumping around days of the week, however, I felt it best to have text reminding everyone of the situation, and to make clear that this was before Grace got any helpful explanation.

That said, there is a reason for the jumping around days of the week, and not having all the details of magic changing being in the middle of this is one of several of them.
