After seeing some speculation about who wrote the notes on the paper shown on the previous page, I decided to make it extra clear in-comic that those were Tedd's notes.

So, Elliot-Tedd shippers, you have that to thank for this "thanks" moment.

Part of Ashley's job is not knowing things from before a certain point in the story.

In some ways, she's like an isekai protagonist who's been tossed into a magical world, and can therefore ask relevant questions about the world's lengthy lore and mechanics without it being weird.

Which was in no way my original plan for her. It's just worked out that way.
