Raven being her father MIGHT have had something to do with her catching up with Noah, but we have to keep in mind that Diane is a trained cheerleader in a modern fantasy setting.

Her estimated power potential is god-tier.

And again, the random nerds are proven integral to the plot, for they inadvertently got Noah following Diane.
