Since this is greyscale, I will note that the non-black parts of Elliot's outfit are intended as red.

Granted, were I to color this outfit, it's possible I'd make some other choice, but red makes sense for a lot of reasons. Red means a lot on an instinctive level, because red is the color of blood (spooky-scary, I know), and people turn redder for a variety of reasons, including being really, really angry.

Also, Elliot's favorite non-black color is blue, so... Yeah. Villain Elliot gets red.
