As I nearly did with Fallout: New Vegas, I almost jumped in to making fun of this game without any explanation for all the non-video game nerds out there. Then I was like "oh noes! The non-video game nerds!" and I wrote this. The end.
There's an additional wrinkle in the plot of Deus Ex: Human Revolution that really makes the debate more interesting, which is the added complication that the human body rejects augmentations (cyborg parts) without an expensive drug, and cool robot people are in high demand (hence the socioeconomic struggle bit). There's a lot about the plot that's hit or miss with me, but that part was brilliant.
