Comic for Tuesday, July 19, 2005:
This is a comic I've wanted to make for a while, and I finally got to do so during some free time at the con.
The inspiration for this comic is rather simple; EGS used to be on a Keenspot server that was dubbed Fooker, which was named after the character Fooker from General Protection Fault (GPF). This server, in spite of its kewl namesake, had its share of problems, and had a fair amount of downtime. Whenever these problems came up, the response was to contact Darren Bleuel (Gav) so he could get things working properly again. This comic is how I pictured him fixing the server.
The good news is that I am now on a new server that is much faster and seems to be a lot more stable. This comic is in celebration of this fact, and pays final tribute to the server that, glitchy though it may have been, kept EGS on the web since my joining Keenspot.
Bonus side notes: That hanging photo is of comic-Gav from Nukees, and the newspaper headline says "Tatsuya sighting", in reference to the rarely seen author of Sinfest.
