EDIT - I originally forgot about the custom sound for Susan and put a "ding" in panel two. "Incoming Transmission" has to be a bit small to fit, but it's supposed to be coming from another room, so that's fine.

EDIT 2 - AND I made a coloring mistake in panel three that made both sides of Jay's hair look trimmed short (as opposed to the right side just being tied back).

The spell

"How the heck does the spell know all this stuff?" Not a difficult incomplete sentence to guess the end of, but hey, this is commentary. Might as well comment on it.

- Jay first encountering this spell

In my mind, Jay sent her text to Susan within fifteen minutes of deciding not to watch any more of the reviews. Susan wasn't checking her messages at the time, so the wait between hitting send and getting a response was likely hours.

While this comic could have been three panels of Jay sitting perfectly still before a fourth panel pounce, I genuinely felt Jay would find ways to occupy her time. She didn't just meet Susan last night, after all. She learned a new spell, and she got a spellbook.

The power of friendship might have taken priority, but she has plenty to be obsessing over just now!
