Incidentally, that other girl with Diane is Lucy, whom we haven't seen in canon for a while. I keep forgetting to mention it, but her jacket and skirt are inspired by Xena: Warrior Princess. I know it isn't exactly the most obvious of things (beyond perhaps the skirt), but the patterns on the jacket are loosely based on Xena's standard outfit.
