After a long day at work, including the commute back home, what could be better than your offspring immediately declaring that they have a scientific experiment with their best friend in the basement that they want you to see?

Surely this feeling is only second in delightfulness to hearing the pitter-patter of their happy feet as they stomp their way down the stairs at five am on a Saturday morning.
