Pronounced like "dungeon," by the way, and I TOLD you it would take fewer than three dozen comics to choose a movie!

Granted, Jay hasn't agreed to it yet, so feel free to nitpick that detail to your heart's content.

What manner of title is this

I had no intention of giving this movie an absurd title. I had, in fact, fully intended to give it a sensible, and vaguely descriptive, title.

We are, however, near the end of the year 2026. Quite a few stories have laid claim to quite a few titles, and everything sensible I could imagine to title this movie leaned too closely to that already possessed by others (if not falling right on top of them).

So it was that I settled for an intentionally ridiculous title that may yet be considered vaguely descriptive of the movie.

Plan 9 From Outer Space

Plan 9 From Outer Space is an extremely low budget black and white science fiction movie with a cult following. It is the sort of "bad" that can only be achieved unintentionally by earnest effort, and it's unconvincing special effects, acting, and writing are celebrated to this day.

That's my recollection of it, anyway. I've seen the actual film at least once, and a movie about its creation, Ed Wood, multiple times in the past. I don't really know how accurate the film about Ed Wood is, but I boldly choose to take it for granted that, yes, Ed Wood really was that earnest and doing his best.

If I'm wrong, I need not know. I've already learned the truth about Santa Claus. I don't need this ruined for me, too.
