I originally imagined this whole (still ongoing) scene with fewer comics, but I decided to give it more room to breath. As a result, "we can't be together, can we" was moved from the end of a comic to the beginning of one.

So too was the case with "I have to let you go," which I didn't intend as a twist after the previous comic. After looking at some reactions to the previous comic, however, I have a feeling it will have functioned as one.

Which is why I'm going to quickly remind everyone that this is a Cinderella story in which certain classic beats are going to happen in some form or another before I find somewhere to hide from torches and pitchforks.
