- Judgement of the prince's lack of confidence (after his introduction in the previous comic)
As much as I gave many of the women present "I am in search of selfish power" vibes, I can't help but feel sorry for them.
I mean, for one, those women aren't the only women there. For wicked stepsisters, Sarah and Ashley are pretty darn nice, and there are probably other women like them present.
For two, all the stuff Bishop talked about earlier regarding women in this setting having fewer opportunities. Maybe some of these people shouldn't be queen, but their motivations are pretty understandable.
And three, imagine showing up after being invited somewhere, specifically as an opportunity to get to know someone, and them to know you, and they almost immediately run away and hide two nights in a row.
I think it's pretty fair to be bothered by that!
I think it's a messed up situation for Prince Elliot, too, and it especially made sense that he fled on the first night. That doesn't make it not messed up for everyone else. It's all one big mess, really.
