There's a LOT of depth to choosing / breeding the right monster for tournament play, and I can understand someone liking that depth. It is not something I need explained to me.

Personally, I mostly find it means I have to catch several of a monster before I get the one with the ability I want and an acceptable nature, and then I find myself wondering about these hidden based stats they have relative to each other, and BLARGH, I say. BLARGH.
