- More intense than eating a Dorito chip!

I wonder if not being used to how one sounds to other people is as common as it used to be. I expect not? It used to be that, on a rare occasion, your average person would come across some way of recording their voice, hear it, and then be all like "THAT'S what I sound like?!" and flip out in a comedic fashion worthy of sitcom television.

Nowadays, there are so many ways to hear one's own recorded voice, and such an impulse to play around with those options, that such comedic flip outs may well be a thing of the past. Tragic, in its own way...

That said, I'm a bitter old person who grew up in the 80s, dag nabbit. Our turtles said cowabunga, our Star Wars was a trilogy, and our voices were a mystery.

The sign

For anyone finding it difficult to read, the sign says "only dorks and nerds drink and drive while underage". I'm poking a bit of fun at a public service announcement sign I saw once telling people not to drink and drive while underage, which... Obviously, the sign wasn't saying it's okay to drink and drive if old enough to legally drink, but it seemed an odd thing to specify.

That said, I applaud trying to prevent that sort of behavior. This is just half me being a snarky cartoonist jerk, and half me wanting to add background stuff that adds to the "mall" feel (and without spending five hundred hours on said background stuff).
