Nitpicking can be fun when it's directed at other people.

I knew the moment I wrote it that there's be plenty of people who wouldn't trust the "attempt" part of voltaire's vow. I didn't actually intend it as him trying to use it as a loophole, but it was there nonetheless. I considered rewording it, but then other ideas wonderful* ideas happened.

* Whether or not something is wonderful is a matter of subjective opinion. Your assessment of this development concluding with the viewpoint that this is wonderful is not guaranteed. Symptoms of not concluding that this is wonderful may include apathy, bitter resentment, headaches, and sore fingers from typing about how not wonderful it is.
